Abundance House is a residency for 12 exceptional, funded founders living together in a monastic environment designed for deep focus by day and earnest connection by night. The residency runs from March 1st to April 1st at a mansion in Cuernavaca, 1 hour south of Mexico City. Program fee: 0.1% equity or $12k.
Why a residency?
If you’re a founder, then more than anything, you need focus. When we remove your obstacles and distractions to deep, sustained work, the effects can be extraordinary. In this state, there is nothing you can’t accomplish. Abundance House exists to accelerate founders like you who have rare conviction, high life force, and the stamina to pursue their greatest work.
We believe you will accomplish more in one month here than you would otherwise accomplish in six.
Who are you?
You are a funded founder with unbridled enthusiasm and optimism building a company that benefits the world. You have a track record of creating awesome works, and you are searching for a place where you can bring your magnum opus to life while challenging yourself alongside others of a similar caliber. Your life force has many outlets, and it flows in many directions. Your friends would describe you as extremely capable and extremely curious. You seek mastery, you seek flow. You hope to reach your death bed having lived an examined life, and you are committed to the practice of reaching your finest potential. You are crafting your soul, and we want to help you.
What we offer
The three core offerings of the residency are:
Space - we offer a literal and figurative home where you can expand into your boldest ideas.
Structure - we remove friction. Chores, preparing meals, social obligations, and anything else that distracts you will be eliminated from your daily flow. You’ll have scaffolding, not constraints.
Support - you’ll join a handpicked cohort of builders who are as driven and formidable as you are. They’ll challenge you, cheer for you, and become your champions and co-conspirators.
During the days, Abundance House is a space for monastic devotion to your craft. All distractions are eradicated. We offer morning meditations, daily workouts, and incredible meals provided by a private chef, all tailor-made to enhance your body and mind. We create all the necessary conditions for you to do your best work in uninterrupted flow.
In the evenings, we come together for the type of genuine connection with one another that top-tier founders sorely lack. The house becomes a space where meaningful friendships are built over shared dinners, fiery debates, and lots of laughter. We let our guards down and get real, and we hold each other accountable to be the best versions of ourselves that we can be.
When?
The residency will run from March 1st through April 1st, 2026. While you are free to leave the property, the program is designed for full commitment. Time away should be minimal.
Where?
The program will be held in the hills of Cuernavaca, Mexico at a beautiful 10-bedroom mansion right next to the Tepozteco Mountains. The distance from the city creates a cloister-like environment where you can feel focused and free. The 7,000 sq ft home is surrounded by forested mountains, and the house itself has luxurious amenities and lightning fast wifi. There is a pool, a gym, and (most importantly) a giant dining room table for shared dinners every night. The home is located minutes away from trailheads that lead to spectacular views. There is lots of shared coworking space and there are quiet rooms for calls throughout the house. Residents will have the option of shared or individual bedrooms. See below for pictures of the home.
What’s the timeline?
Applications close on January 25th. Those who have applied before then will hear back by February 1st at the latest. You can apply as a team and bring up to 2 additional teammates if accepted. We finalize the cohort by February 5th. If accepted, plan to sublet your home for March, and make arrangements to arrive at the house by March 1st at 5pm for the program kickoff (we will have a shuttle leaving from MEX at 3pm that you can join).
About the organizer
Aaron Mayer is a founder and community builder based in San Francisco. He has raised millions across the for-profit and nonprofit sectors and has spent the last decade identifying high-agency founders and helping them pursue ambitious dreams. Aaron founded Impact Labs in 2017, a tech-for-impact community that has funded and incubated dozens of startups. In addition to the peer-support of the other residents at Abundance House, you will have access to the entire Impact Labs network, which includes hundreds of investors and mentors, along with over 10,000 highly motivated, dedicated engineers. We will move heaven and earth to connect you with the right people along your journey who can help you thrive.
What is the cost?
The program fee is a fixed 0.1% equity interest in your company, granted as advisory shares from your company’s option pool. If you do not feel the program was worthwhile by the end of the residency, we will gladly return your equity.
As an alternative, you can pay $12k in cash instead.
